Student and Studio Policies

Payment: 
The cost per half hour is $30. This amount is payable by cash, card, or Venmo. Students/Parents have the option to pay per lesson or pre-pay $120 for a full month of lessons.

Missed Lessons: 
If for any reason a lesson must be canceled, we require at least 24 hours notice. Any lessons that are canceled with less than 24 hours notice must be paid before continuing lessons.

In the event of inclement weather, students will be notified by the teacher regarding any cancellations.

Practice, practice, practice!
Students are expected to have a usable instrument at home and put in at least 20-30 minutes of practice a day, 5 days a week. This is crucial to the improvement of the student’s talent in their instrument. As skill level and the difficulty increase, this is expected to increase as well.

Studio Expectations
Food and drink are prohibited from the practice space, with an exception for water in a closed container.

Students are expected to treat any instrument provided during lessons with respect. Accidents happen, but any damage from intentional misuse will result in the financial burden of the damage falling on the student as well as lesson cancellation.

Lesson Suspension and Spot Holding
If a student needs to suspend their private lessons for more than two weeks, we hope you understand that we will need to fill the student's spot.  If your desired spot is taken, we can put the student's name on our waiting list and will try to accommodate your return to lessons if/when a spot opens up in the future.
